Fabricated as a studio project under the instruction of Kurt Hong, the Woven Wood Torus is a continuation of the wall installation project; Weave. Exploring the idea of a wooden woven structure further the torus is a fully 3D realization of the fabrication techniques that were developed for the wall installation. The outcome is a 4’ x 4’ torus that is suspended by steel cables.
